As Director of Photography for South Bend Stories, a key campaign project for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential run, I led a crew of 8 to visually bring to life the story of a candidate deeply tied to his hometown. Our goal was to create a narrative that was both personal and cinematic, reflecting the spirit of South Bend, Indiana—a small Midwestern city with a big story to tell.

From capturing candid moments with Pete Buttigieg to highlighting the everyday beauty of the community, my team and I crafted a visual language that connected national audiences to the heart of his campaign. The result was a body of work that not only framed a presidential hopeful but also honored the authenticity of the Midwest.
